Service Description

**To maximize participation, this class will be held at Wild Peloria to promote more hands on learning within a dedicated therapeutic space.** This experiential training is designed to strengthen clinicians’ ability to collaboratively develop treatment goals that truly reflect each client’s voice, values, and desired outcomes. Participants will explore practical methods for eliciting client-centered goals, aligning them with diagnostic criteria and ethical standards, and weaving them into evidence-informed treatment planning. This class emphasizes how to bridge the gap between goal-setting and clinical interventions to help therapists translate goals into meaningful, actionable steps that support change and empowerment in therapy. Through guided discussion, case examples, and applied exercises, participants will gain confidence in developing individualized, measurable, and dynamic goals that evolve with the therapeutic process. Learning Objectives: By the end of this class, participants will be able to: 1. Identify the key components of a client-centered treatment goal and distinguish them from clinician-driven objectives. 2. Apply strategies to collaboratively elicit and refine treatment goals that align with clients’ values, motivation, and stage of change. 3. Demonstrate how to select and integrate clinical interventions that directly support identified treatment goals. 4. Evaluate progress and adapt goals over time to ensure continued relevance and engagement in the therapeutic process. 5. Understand ethical and documentation considerations when developing and implementing client-centered goals.
