Thriving beyond "normal".

Illness Policy
At Wild Peloria, we care deeply about the health and safety of the families we serve, as well as our therapists, staff, and
community. To help keep everyone well, we ask that you follow the guidelines below when deciding if your child (or yourself, for adult clients) should attend a session.
When to Stay Home
Please stay home and reschedule if you or your child has:
-
A fever of 100.4°F or higher in the past 24 hours (without fever-reducing medicine).
-
Vomiting or diarrhea in the past 24 hours.
-
A new or worsening cough, runny nose, sore throat, or congestion that hasn’t started to improve.
-
New difficulty breathing or symptoms that make it hard to participate comfortably.
-
A positive COVID-19 test (return on Day 6 or later; masks required through Day 10).
-
Headache with stiff neck and fever (please consult your healthcare provider before returning).
-
Skin rash, open sores, or contagious conditions such as lice or scabies, until treated and cleared.
-
Red or pink eyes with colored drainage until cleared by a healthcare provider.
When It’s Okay to Return
You/your child may return to sessions when:
-
Fever-free, vomit-free, and diarrhea-free for at least 24 hours.
-
Respiratory symptoms (cough, congestion, sore throat) are clearly improving.
-
They are well enough to participate fully in therapy activities.
-
A healthcare provider has given written clearance, if needed.
Why This Matters
Children and adults are often most contagious at the very beginning of an illness. Keeping sick clients at home helps protect other families, children, and our staff. It also ensures that sessions are positive, productive, and comfortable for everyone.

A Note About Rescheduling
We understand that illness is unpredictable. Please reach out as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. If originally scheduled for an office visit, we may be able to switch your appointment to a virtual session. For rescheduling, we will do our best to find another time that works for you and/or your family.
Together, we can keep Wild Peloria a safe, healthy, and welcoming place for growth and healing.
