Rachael creates a warm, authentic, and inviting space where clients of all ages feel seen, valued, and genuinely supported. She is passionate about working with children, individuals, couples, parents, and families as they navigate life’s challenges and deepen their connection with themselves and one another. Her work is grounded in a belief that healing happens not only within individuals, but within the relationships and systems they are a part of.
With a background as a preschool teacher, Rachael developed a deep appreciation for early childhood development and a strong commitment to partnering with parents and caregivers. Rachael's teaching experience continues to inform her systemic perspective, allowing her to thoughtfully support both individuals and the broader relational contexts they live in. She takes a person-centered approach, collaborating closely with clients and integrating their preferences, values, and lived experiences into the therapeutic process.
Rachael’s style is relational, attachment-based, and client-centered, while also incorporating creative and somatic practices that engage the whole person in healing and growth. She integrates expressive modalities such as play therapy and sandtray, creating opportunities for clients to explore emotions and needs in a safe, supportive, and developmentally attuned way. In her work with couples, she focuses on strengthening connection, improving communication, and fostering mutual understanding. She also values the role of humor in helping clients feel at ease and more connected to their experiences.
Above all, Rachael strives to cultivate a space that feels comfortable and welcoming, where clients can settle in, be themselves, and engage in meaningful work.
Rachael earned her Master’s degree in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling from George Fox University and holds a Certificate in Play Therapy from the Northwest Center for Play Therapy Studies. Her clinical approach integrates relational and attachment-based frameworks with elements of Restoration Therapy and expressive therapies.
Outside of her work, Rachael enjoys spending time at the coast with her family and their dog, Bear. She loves exploring new restaurants and coffee shops, getting lost in a good book, creating art, and practicing yoga.
