Jamie Watson, LMFT, RPT-S™ (she/her) has over 15 years of experience as a therapist, clinical supervisor, educator, and program director. She brings a warm, creative, and systems-oriented approach to her work, grounded in deep respect for children, families, and the relationships that shape them. Jamie’s clinical practice centers on child, youth, and family therapy, with a particular passion for supporting neurodivergent children and those with developmental differences in ways that honor their strengths, autonomy, and unique ways of experiencing the world.

Jamie approaches therapy with children as a relational, play-based process rooted in safety, curiosity, and attunement. She believes play is a child’s natural language and uses it to support emotional regulation, attachment, identity development, and resilience. Her work with families emphasizes collaboration, transparency, and trust, helping caregivers better understand their child’s inner world while strengthening the parent-child relationship. In addition to her work with children, Jamie has extensive experience supporting parents and adults across the lifespan, allowing her to hold a whole-system perspective in both clinical and supervisory settings.

Jamie is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Oregon and Washington, a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor™ (RPT-S™), and an AAMFT Approved Clinical Supervisor. She serves as Core Faculty at the University of Western States and as an adjunct faculty member at George Fox University, where she teaches courses in play therapy, human development, and clinical training for graduate counseling students. She also provides clinical training and supervision in play therapy, trauma-informed care, parenting, child and adolescent mental health, and stress management, with an emphasis on reflective practice and sustainable clinical work.

Jamie is the owner of Jamie Watson Consulting, Inc., where she supports therapists and group practice owners through clinical supervision, consultation, and private practice coaching. She loves helping clinicians deepen their clinical confidence, pursue credentials such as Registered Play Therapist (RPT™) and AAMFT Approved Clinical Supervisor, and build ethical, values-aligned practices that support longevity in the field. Through her consulting work, Jamie also provides guidance on starting and scaling group practices, navigating state certification (specifically COA) and audits, and creating practical tools and trainings that reduce burnout and increase clarity.

Deeply engaged in the professional community, Jamie has served on the board of the Oregon Association for Play Therapy (ORAPT) for over a decade, including multiple terms as President, and currently serves as Secretary. Nationally, she contributes to the field through her work on the Association for Play Therapy’s Ethics and Practice Guidelines Committee.

At Wild Peloria, Jamie oversees clinical operations and helps lead the clinic’s mission to provide neurodivergent-affirming, play-based, and nature-inspired therapy services. She is committed to creating spaces of safety, growth, and connection for both clients and clinicians-places where people feel seen, supported, and empowered to be fully themselves.

Known for her joyful and relational approach, Jamie often incorporates play, expressive modalities, and the occasional visit from her beloved Goldendoodle, Juniper, into her work.
